CEU Receives Recognition for Exemplary Performance

The College of the Extended University has been recognized by the State Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs (SAFEA) as an outstanding provider of customized training programs for delegations from China. Through CEU's Global Education Programs Office, curriculum is customized to meet specific needs and interests of each group. Hands-on experiences such as tours and site visits to local businesses and facilities further enhance the knowledge and experience obtained during the training programs. Some of the more popular training topics include agriculture, clean energy, education administration, financial risk management and business management and public policy.

Dr. Evans was one of seven representatives invited to the stage from among 245 meeting attendees in recognition of CEU’s exemplary training programs for SAFEA.		International Recognition – Cal Poly Pomona’s College of the Extended University renewed its training agreement with the State Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs (SAFEA) during SAFEA’s annual conference in China in April. The university originally received SAFEA certification in 2008 from the central governmental agency of the People’s Republic of China. As an authorized provider of professional enhancement programs to select groups of Chinese government officials, the CEU was recognized by SAFEA for its reputation of providing exceptional training programs. SAFEA certification must be reviewed annually and is renewed by SAFEA based on continued outstanding performance by each training provider.
