  2008 marks the beginning of the Baby Boomer generation retiring. Because boomers make up a majority of our current workforce, a shortage of talent is expected within the next 10 years. With a large number of boomers currently holding senior executive level positions, upon their retirement, those leadership roles will become available; a trend that will greatly impact various industries.

Are you prepared to become next generation leaders? Will you be ready to assume senior executive positions as they become available?

Overview

  The Leadership Academy is a seven-month series of courses designed to advance the knowledge of mid-level managers who wish to assume a leadership role in their organization when a position becomes available. Academy participants will develop effective leadership and managerial skills, such as, effective communication, strategic thinking and innovative ways to negotiate and foster collaboration within their organization.

Benefits / Objectives

  The Leadership Academy explores the theory and practice of different types of leadership in different types of organizations. Participants of the program benefit from networking with other participants, along with the opportunity to learn from today’s leaders.

Intended Audience

  This certificate is designed to prepare mid-level managers for leadership roles in their organization. It allows participants to understand the integral role of decision making at a macro level.



Awarded Certificate

  Upon successful completion of the seven required courses, participants will earn a Leadership Academy Certificate.
