One quarter unit of credit may be earned for every five days of full-time study while traveling. Participants are referred to a University faculty member in an appropriate department with whom they plan their academic project before traveling. Upon returning, participants again meet with the faculty member for evaluation and grading. For most professionals, cost for such academic travel may qualify as a tax deductible expense.
